Answering by doing

Most questions in Wobo are answered by doing something to the thing itself, not by picking a letter.

If a question can be answered with an action, it is. Shade half of the square. Drop the point where the lines meet. Drag the slider until the graph matches. Order the steps. Build the fraction on the number pad. Draw the angle. Circle the part that is wrong.

The controls

  • Check is the one primary button. Nothing is graded until you press it.
  • Start over is always beside the interactive, and costs you nothing.
  • Everything has a keyboard path and a screen-reader path, including the drawing ones.

When you are right

The frame settles and Wobo draws a small tick by hand. No colour flood, no fanfare. Then straight on.

When you are wrong

Nothing is taken away. Wobo says so plainly, and you get "try again" and "get help". Two misses and Wobo offers to show you the answer and then walk you through why, step by step. See "Getting help on a question".

Working out loud

You can write your working on the board next to the question. Wobo reads it and marks the step where it went wrong, rather than only the final answer. That is usually more useful than the answer itself.
