Terms of service

Drafted 3 September 2026Version 0.113 questions open for counsel

1. Who we are

Wobo is operated by Dot eVentures Pvt Ltd, registered at 141 Prashasan Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana 500033, India. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Dot eVentures Pvt Ltd. "You" means the person using Wobo. Where the person using Wobo is under 18, "you" also means the parent or guardian who agreed to these terms.

You can reach us at support@heywobo.com.

Wobo is the name of the product and of the tutor inside it. Wobo has no gender; when a pronoun is unavoidable, Wobo is "they".

2. What Wobo is

Wobo is a learning tool. Wobo explains topics from school curricula by drawing on a board, asks you questions, marks your working, keeps track of what you have understood, and remembers enough about how you learn to be useful next time.

Wobo is not a school, not a qualification, not an examination body, and not a substitute for a teacher, a doctor, a lawyer, or any other professional. Nothing Wobo says is professional advice.

Wobo works with material from many official curricula. Where a syllabus has been read from an official source, Wobo says so. Where a syllabus is still being checked, or came from you, Wobo says that too. We do not claim endorsement by, or affiliation with, any examination board, school, or government body.

3. Wobo can be wrong

Wobo is built on artificial intelligence supplied by third-party AI and infrastructure providers, together with our own checking systems. We put real effort into accuracy: mathematics is verified by computer algebra, generated material is cross-checked by a second system, and content without a traceable source is labelled as such.

Even so, Wobo can be wrong, incomplete, or out of date. Do not rely on Wobo alone for anything that carries a consequence, including examination preparation, grades, or decisions about your studies. If something looks wrong, tell us at support@heywobo.com. There is no control on the content itself yet, and a person reads the mailbox.

4. Who can use Wobo

The age rule, stated once. This paragraph is the only place the minimum age is set. childrens privacy and parental consent point back to it instead of restating it, so if you find two different answers, this one governs.

You can hold your own Wobo account from 13. Below 13, a parent or guardian holds the account with you: they set it up, they agree to these terms, and they give verifiable consent before Wobo remembers anything about you, hears your voice, or reads a photograph you show it. A younger child can therefore learn with Wobo, but not on an account of their own. Where the law where you live sets an age higher than 13 for holding your own account, that higher age applies, and below it a parent or guardian holds the account in the same way.

  • Whatever your age, if you are under 18 a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and give consent before Wobo does anything beyond teaching you. See parental consent.
  • In India, a parent or guardian must give verifiable consent for any learner under 18, and some features stay switched off until they do.
  • In the United States, a learner under 13 uses Wobo on an account held by their parent or guardian, and until that parent or guardian has given verifiable consent we collect nothing from them beyond what is needed to ask for it. See childrens privacy.
  • If you are creating an account on behalf of a school or an organisation, you confirm you are allowed to do that, and a separate agreement may apply.

5. Your account

Keep your sign-in details to yourself. Your account is yours alone and is not to be shared, sold, or passed on. Tell us at support@heywobo.com if you think someone else has got into it.

You may sign in with your phone number or with a supported third-party sign-in service. If you sign in with a third-party service, that service tells us only what you allow it to.

We may keep an account signed in on more than one device. That is normal use. Systematic sharing of one account among many learners is not, and we may close such an account.

6. What it costs

Wobo is free to use, with a daily allowance of tutoring turns and generated material. The allowance resets, and the app shows how much is left and when it resets.

Paid plans lift the limits and unlock further features. Prices are shown before you pay, in your own currency where we can, with taxes stated. Nobody is charged a different price for the same plan because of who they are or how they behave in the app: no surveillance pricing, no penalty for hesitating, no different number for the same plan on the same purchase route because of where you live within one market.

One thing does move the price, and we would rather say it here than let you find it: buying inside a phone app can cost more than buying on the web, because the store takes a share of what you pay it. The price is the same for everyone on the same purchase route, and we show both prices so you can see the difference before you choose. refund and cancellation section 6 has the detail. What else can vary is whether we give something away, and when.

Subscriptions renew until cancelled. Cancelling takes two taps from the You screen, keeps the plan until the end of the period you have already paid for, and stops everything after it. We do not give money back as a gesture of goodwill; the refunds that remain are the ones the law gives you, and they are listed in refund and cancellation section 5, which forms part of these terms along with the rest of that document.

Gifts, free weeks, trial periods and referral rewards are given at our discretion, are not transferable, have no cash value, and can be withdrawn if they are being abused.

7. What you put into Wobo

You keep ownership of everything you bring: your questions, your working, your drawings on the board, your notes, photographs of your own syllabus or homework, and anything else you upload.

So that Wobo can work, you give us permission to store and process that material in order to run the service for you: to answer you, to mark your working, to build your plan, to keep your progress, and to keep the service safe and working properly. This permission lasts as long as you keep the material in your account, and ends when you delete it, except for copies we must keep for a while for legal or security reasons, which are described in privacy policy.

We do not use your material to advertise to you, we do not sell it, and we do not publish it. If we ever want to use learner material to improve Wobo beyond running the service, we will ask first, separately, and you will be able to say no without losing anything. For learners under 18, we do not ask at all.

You are responsible for what you upload. Do not upload material that is not yours to share, or that contains other people's personal information. Wobo will remind you of this at the point where you attach a photograph: never share pictures of people or personal information.

8. What we own

Wobo, its name, its look, its character, the board and its ink, the software, and the material Wobo generates for the product are ours or our licensors'. You may use them inside Wobo, and you may keep, print and share the boards and progress artifacts Wobo makes for you, including on social media, for your own non-commercial use.

You may not copy the product, resell it, scrape it, rebuild it from its outputs, or use it to train another system. See acceptable use.

9. Rules of use

acceptable use sets out what is and is not allowed, and safety and content explains what Wobo will not do. Both form part of these terms. Breaking them can lead to a warning, a feature being switched off, or an account being closed, depending on what happened. Where we can, we warn first and explain why.

10. Availability

We work hard to keep Wobo up, and we do not promise it will always be available. Parts of it depend on third-party AI and infrastructure providers, on your network, and on your device. We may take Wobo down for maintenance, and we will give notice where we reasonably can.

Wobo works offline for material already downloaded to your device. Anything that needs the tutor needs a connection.

11. Changes to Wobo and to these terms

Wobo changes often, and features can be added, altered, or retired. Where a change materially reduces what you have paid for, we will tell you before it happens and offer you a way out, including the unused part of your term returned. That is a service we did not supply rather than a goodwill refund, and refund and cancellation section 5 says so in the same words.

We may update these terms. If a change matters to you, we will tell you at least 30 days before it takes effect, by email and in the app, and you can end your subscription before it applies.

12. Ending it

You can stop using Wobo whenever you like and cancel a subscription from the You screen. There is no account deletion in the product and no copy of your data you can take away yourself: write to support@heywobo.com and we do both by hand. privacy policy section 8 says exactly what the in-product erase reaches and what it does not.

We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken seriously or repeatedly, if we are required to by law, or if keeping it open would put another learner at risk. Where we close an account that has paid for a term it has not used, we return the unused part unless the closure was for serious misuse, which is the same rule as refund and cancellation section 9.

13. Our responsibility, and its limits

We will provide Wobo with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that the law does not allow us to limit. In particular, if you are a consumer, you keep every right the consumer law where you live gives you, and nothing here takes those rights away.

Beyond that, and to the extent the law allows: we are not liable for indirect or unforeseeable loss, for lost grades or missed opportunities, or for loss caused by relying on something Wobo said without checking it. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the event, or amount.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of governing law, and the courts of courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you can also bring a claim in the courts where you live, and you keep the protection of the mandatory law of your own country.

Before going to court, please write to us at support@heywobo.com. Most things can be sorted out in a few days.

In India, complaints about personal data can go to our grievance officer, named in privacy policy, and then to the Data Protection Board.

In the European Union and the European Economic Area, you can take a complaint to the consumer protection authority in your own country, or to an approved alternative dispute resolution body where one covers our sector, and you keep the right to bring a claim in the courts where you live. We will name the authority and the body for each market on this page before launch.

15. The rest

  • If one part of these terms turns out not to be enforceable, the rest still stands.
  • How we reach each other. We write to you at the email address or phone number on your account, and in the app. You write to us at support@heywobo.com, or by post to 141 Prashasan Nagar, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, Telangana 500033, India. A notice sent by email or shown in the app counts as given on the day it is sent, unless it bounces; a notice sent by post counts as given 5 working days after posting. Keep your contact details current, because a notice we cannot deliver still counts.
  • If we do not enforce something once, we have not given it up, and we can still enforce it later.
  • Things outside anyone's control. Neither of us is responsible for a failure caused by something genuinely beyond our reasonable control, such as a network or power failure, a natural event, an act of government, or the failure of a third-party AI or infrastructure provider we do not control. This does not touch anything in section 13, and it does not take away a consumer's right to a refund for a service we did not supply.
  • We can transfer these terms to another company as part of a sale or reorganisation, and we will tell you if that happens. You can transfer them only with our agreement.
  • These terms, together with the documents named in them, are the whole agreement between us about Wobo.
  • These terms are written in English. Where we publish a translation and the two disagree, the English version governs.

Written to be read. If any of it is unclear, ask us and we will explain it, and then fix the wording.

The documents are the promise. Wobo is the thing.

Wobo is not open yet. One mail the day it is.
