Geography, ICSE class 9
Geography is a separate subject on this board rather than a strand inside social science, and its units cover the earth as a physical system and the map as a document you have to be able to read.

Why does map work cost so many marks?
Because it is a practical skill being examined on paper, and practice is the only thing that moves it. Reading about contour lines does very little. Wobo will draw a section across a contour map while it explains what the spacing means, and then hand the same map over with the reading left for you to do.
